COMMUNITY COLLABORATION:

YOUTH HELPING YOUTH

In early May, high school volunteers from Project YouthBuild harvested baskets of cucumbers, eggplants and tomatoes after spending a morning learning more about our farm and its role in campus food security. The produce went straight to Working Food’s community kitchen where their Young Chefs were busily creating dishes for their Pop-up Restaurant.

What a thrill to support two great organizations in Alachua county that serve our youth: Project YouthBuild and Working Food.

We are grateful for these amazing youth for their hard work and dedication to building both community and a healthy local food system.
